Goal and rules
Checkmate occurs when the opposing king is attacked and has no legal escape. You win by creating checkmate, rather than capturing the king. Castling, en passant and pawn promotion are supported.
Getting started
Select a piece, then its destination. Practise against the AI or create a room for another player. When in check, your move must first make your king safe.
Tips for your first game
Start by contesting the centre and developing knights and bishops. Before moving the same piece repeatedly, check king safety and which pieces your opponent threatens.
